Crisis In Egypt
World history is full of rebellions which not only changed that country also lead a great impact on the world. For instance the rebellions were aroused in Middle East in order to finish long term presidency and to bring democracy in those country. These rebellions started in Egypt had an influence on other countries in a great way e.g Libya, Yemen, Bahrain and Oman. It does not only affect Middle East also has huge impact in this global society.
The first step of protests started in Egypt. The angry protests lasted for a month and killed hundreds of people. It also led the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to resign after 30 years in power, which was a great change. After being impressed from the success of Egyptian, other countries of Middle East also started protests. These rebellions started in Yemen, Tunisia, Libya, and Sudan. These countries yet not have any success in fact people are in trouble.
These protests became so violent in Libya a country in North Africa that it conducted civil war. In Libya thousands of people killed because of the fight between the President Gaddafi's forces and outside forces. These outside forces includes US, Great Britain and France Military. These forces are making sure there is no fly zone in Libya as it is dangerous for Libyan citizens. According to CNN News, one of the witness said “We heard a lot of gun shots, explosions, demonstrations, sound of sirens and there is lack of food" People are scared and threatened because of the dangerous condition of their country. Moreover there is shortage of food in the markets. People are hungry, they can’t go out with the fear of death. There might be a food crisis, which will increase the troubles of these people. At my time of writing these protests caused war, deaths, and destruction instead of liberty of rights and its still going on so any thing could happen.
The protests in Middle East are leading shortage of oil in the global society. As Middle East is the main source of oil, according to time magazine “20 percent of the world's oil supply comes from Middle East, and disruptions there would be devastating” As the employers are protesting and not going to work that may lead to shortage of supply of oil in many European and eastern countries. Not only shortage, the oil prices are going so high that now it’s hard to buy oil because it costs more than ever. It rose sharply from “$85.64 to $ 115.62 the highest since October 2008 ( Chris Kahn).” The prices of oil are getting at such a high level where they were never before and thus, effecting the worlds economy. The supply of oil and its fewer prices depend upon the step down of Middle East leaders.
We can see that the protests started in Egypt but spread in other countries. Although it was successful in Egypt but it has bad impact in other countries of Middle east. For example Libya is having a civil war. While the oil prices are reaching high in the sky and keep increasing day by day and making the people’s life worst in the entire world. All these problems can be resolved if the leaders do what their protesters want from them and there can be peace in the world.
